Bee Zesty's 30+MG Manuka Honey is sourced from pure, clean and unpopulated natural environments in remote parts of the top of the South Island of New Zealand – free of pollution, chemicals and other contaminants.
Our 30+ grading system means it contains more than 30mg per kg of Methylglyoxal (MG).
Manuka honey is collected by our honeybees from the Manuka flower. The honeybees collect and transform the nectar of the Manuka plant into honey.
Batch Track
Here at Bee Zesty we believe in being transparent when it comes to our certifying the quality of our products. Nelson Honey has designed an in-house system called Batch Track, whereby every batch of Manuka Honey that is packed in our factory undergoes independent testing at different laboratories. You can access the test results online. Our Batch Track system gives you peace of mind you have bought a quality jar of Manuka Honey.

Q. What is the shelf life of your honey?
A. Raw Honey does not go bad, just store it in a cool dark place and be careful not to contaminate it with anything else and it will last for a long time.
Q. What preservatives are used in your honey since they are all natural?
A. Raw Honey doesn't need any preservatives, as it is a natural preservative as well as non-GMO.
Q. Should I refrigerate my honey to preserve it?
A. We do not recommend that honey be refrigerated. The honey should be stored in a cool and dry area.
Q. My honey appears to have crystallized?
A. Our honey doesn't often crystallize, but if it has, then place the honey bottle into hot water, (not boiling water). If honey crystallizes, it doesn't mean it's not fit for consumption, and it hasn't lost any of its health benefits.
Q. How should I eat Manuka honey for best health benefits?
A. There are many ways to enjoy Manuka honey, such as on your toast and cereal etc. A lot people take a teaspoon of manuka, once in the morning and in the evening. To preserve the manuka factor, don't over heat it, such as placing it in the microwave for more than 15 seconds.
Q. My Honey seems to have hardened in the jar?
A. We suggest that you sit the jar in a hot bath of water, just be sure not to submerse the jar or allow water to the contents of the jar.
Q. Are your products cruelty free?
A. Our products are absolutely cruelty free. We have even found a way to collect bee venom, for our Necta Ease honey, that does not harm the bees.

Honey has been used since ancient times for its special properties. Good quality honey can be high in beneficial plant compounds including antioxidants. It contains a number of nutrients (see below) and has high levels of glucose and fructose which offers a healthier alternative to refined sugar making it a great source of energy. However, the composition of a honey batch depends on the floral source(s) available to the bees that produced the honey.
We operate a team of beekeepers and has hives are located throughout the beautiful regions at top of the South Island of New Zealand. Hives enjoy spectacular and remote locations including Maori Bay in the Marlborough Sounds and Rainbow Station in St Arnaud.
Here at Bee Zesty/Nelson Honey we can trace our honey back to the hives they came from and our team of beekeepers maintain the health and happiness of all our bees.
